Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted by a group of youths in Stokesley.
The incident happened at about 11pm on Saturday, June 20, near the High Street.
According to North Yorkshire Police, the incident began inside Pizza Village when a female teenager allegedly stole the victim’s hat.
The man ran after her to retrieve it before being assaulted by a group of male youths in an alleyway just off the High Street.
Police said the victim was punched to the ground before being kicked in the head and face.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries but has since been discharged.
The suspects are described as white males aged between about 15 and 18, wearing sports clothing.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault, has CCTV, Ring doorbell or dashcam footage, or has any information about those involved, to come forward.
