Fire crews were called to tackle small fires caused by disposable barbecues in the Osmotherly area.
At around 3.33pm, a crew from Stokesley attended Quarry Lane after reports of a fire in the open.
Firefighters extinguished four disposable BBQs found in the area and ensured there was no further risk.
Advice was also given to people nearby about the safe use and disposal of barbecues to help prevent similar incidents.
