Firefighters were called to reports of a car fire at a residential property in Northallerton this morning.
A crew from Northallerton Fire Station attended Winton Road at 7.37am after a vehicle was reported to be on fire on a driveway.
Neighbours had already extinguished the fire before the fire service arrived.
Firefighters found the vehicle still smouldering and used a hose reel jet to dampen it down and make the scene safe.
