Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Yafforth Road, Northallerton, at 5.55pm yesterday.
Crews from Northallerton attended the incident and confirmed that all occupants were out of the vehicles on their arrival.
Firefighters used small tools and a thermal imaging camera to isolate a car battery and ensure the scene was made safe before handing the incident over to police.
