A man from Sowerby who was wanted by police in connection with an arson attack in Thirsk has been arrested.
North Yorkshire Police issued an appeal yesterday to help trace 29-year-old James Murfitt.
He was being sought after two cars were set alight in Thirsk Market Place in the early hours of Monday morning.
Officers have now confirmed the man has been arrested and remains in police custody.
