Drinkers across North Yorkshire are raising a glass to the news that Bedale will host its second three-day Community Beer Festival next month.
The event, sponsored by Voneus Broadband alongside a host of local businesses, will run from Friday, October 10, to Sunday, October 12, at Bedale Hall.
Organised by Big Bird Events, the festival will raise funds for Bedale’s November Fireworks display – which draws crowds of up to 4,000 – as well as Bedale Youth Venue.
Visitors can look forward to sampling 20 ales, plus craft beers, cider and prosecco, alongside an alcohol-free range and food options. Live music from North Yorkshire artists will keep the party going throughout the weekend.
Festival co-organiser Lou Walker, of Big Bird Events, said: “This is going to be a showcase for our great local beers and ciders, plus those from further afield. Last year’s Community Beer Festival was so well supported and proved such a hit that we decided to do it all over again.”
Pam Knighton, also of Big Bird Events, added: “We are indebted to our sponsors who have joined with us to support the event, and are thrilled to welcome Voneus, a national broadband company, as our main sponsor this year.”
Ashley Scott, senior communications manager at Voneus, said: “We’re proud to be this year’s headline sponsor and excited to join the weekend’s celebrations. As a company supporting rural communities daily, we know how vital events like this are in helping towns like Bedale thrive.”
Advance tickets are available from The Food Weighouse in Bedale and via Eventbrite. Only advance ticket holders are guaranteed a commemorative glass.
