A man has been charged to court after being stopped while driving through North Yorkshire.
On the evening of Sunday 7 September, North Yorkshire Police received information about a vehicle in suspicious circumstances entering the county.
Within minutes, specially-trained officers made towards the vehicle, spotted it on the A168 near Thirsk, and managed to stop it and detain the driver on the A19 heading towards Cleveland.
A set of number plates were located in the boot, and he was arrested.
The driver, a 28-year-old man from Rotherham, has been charged with fraudulently using a registration mark, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
He is due to appear at York Magistrates’ Court later this month.
