Fire crews from Ripon and Thirsk responded to a vehicle that was on fire while on the back of a recovery truck.
The incident in Ripon was reported at 2.05am this morning.
Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish and dampen down a small area of the seat section which had caught fire.
Crews also worked with hydraulic cutting equipment to access the battery in the rear section to remove and cool.
