Talented girl guides have been praised after decorating the gardens of a North Yorkshire care home with brightly coloured hubcaps.
The quartet from 1st Northallerton Guides developed their designs during the winter and the recycled hubcaps have been donated to the town’s Kensington Care Home for residents to view.
Richmond and Northallerton MP Rishi Sunak made a special visit to the home to meet the girls and thank them for their artwork.
“Residents and staff are really enjoying their new decorations and it’s great to see the guides getting involved in such a valuable community project,” said Mr Sunak.
Guide leader Dot Samon added: “The girls loved using their artistic skills to find a new life for these hubcaps and were really imaginative with their designs.”
