Police are appealing for information following an attempted burglary in Romanby near Northallerton.
The incident happened in Hambleton Avenue sometime on Monday or Tuesday this week.
The offenders have tried to gain access via a door to the rear of the property.
A pane of glass was smashed but luckily no access was gained.
