New Covid-19 cases confirmed in Hambleton

Several new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Richmondshire and Hambleton in recent days.

After two weeks of no positive tests for the virus in either district, there have been three confirmed cases in Richmondshire and four in Hambleton.

Across the whole of North Yorkshire there have been 20 new recorded cases since July 25.

A total of 271 people have now tested positive for the virus in Richmondshire, 306 in Hambleton and 2,578 across North Yorkshire.

The latest available figures show 49 people have died after testing positive for coronavirus in Richmondshire and 71 in Hambleton.

The data includes both pillar one – those conducted in hospitals – and pillar two – those in care homes and mobile testing stations.

Of these deaths, all occurred after March 15, according to the data.
