Help rescued cat Geordie find a new forever home

Geordie, currently at the RSPCA Animal Centre in Great Ayton, is looking for a new home

Volunteers at the RSPCA animal centre in Great Ayton are looking to find a forever home for one of their cats, Geordie.

Geordie recently had to be returned to the rescue centre after he was unable to settle and is now on the look-out for a new place to call his own.

Staff at the centre say the black cat loves being fussed and cuddled and would love a home where he was the only feline.

A spokesperson for the centre said: “This beautiful boy is Geordie. He unfortunately had to be returned to us as he couldn’t settle in his new home, so he is now looking for his new forever home.

“Geordie loves nothing more than a fuss and a cuddle, so we would like to rehome him as a single cat so he can lap up all the attention he deserves.

“Geordie loves to sit in his yard having a good snooze while catching some afternoon sunshine.

“We feel he would be happier as the only pet in the home.

“He will definitely require a cat flap and the freedom to go out. If you think Geordie is the cat for you please pop down to the centre or give us a ring for some more information.”

Anyone who thinks they could find a home for Geordie can ring 0300 123 0743 between 11.30am and 3pm everyday apart from Wednesday.

The RSPCA centre, situated between Stokesley and Great Ayton, is also currently appealing for carpet off-cuts.

If anyone can donate any and drop them off at the centre for free, they should get in contact.
