Firefighters were called to a blaze involving a large vehicle carrying tractors on the A1 near Leeming and Catterick this morning.
Crews from Richmond and Northallerton responded to the incident at 7.37am.
On arrival they found a large vehicle carrying three tractors well alight.
Firefighters used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
No one was injured in the incident, and the scene was later left in the care of National Highways.
